This work ridicules the installation of unfriendly architecture in public space. I created twelve notecards that serve as an instruction manual for a making a sculpture that I designed and created to counteract these unwelcoming structures and allow people to use them anyway.

By the time my sculpture was ready to be documented in situ, the hostile space that I had focused on had listened, and the spikes had been removed. The sculpture rests on what was once a harsh, unwelcoming space flooded by metal spikes, and what is now a functional bench.
